Gama workers mount protest in Longford

Workers from the Turkish construction firm Gama have mounted a protest outside a power station in Co Longford as part of their low-pay campaign against the company.

Gama was involved in the construction of the power station in Loughrea. It emerged earlier this year that the company was paying its Turkish workers in Ireland as little as €2-an-hour.

The workers have mounted a campaign of protests to highlight the matter and to demand they get paid their outstanding wages.
