IBEC seeks reform of food and drink regulations
21/04/2005 - 07:34:32The employers' body IBEC has called on the Government to reform regulations governing the food and drink sector in Ireland.
The organisation claimed strict regulations not only placed a financial burden on business, but also created confusion for consumers
Spokesperson Rosemary Garth said: "It is a major challenge for us to try and address that and make sure that regulation, although it does have a role, is only introduced when there is a clear need and it has a clear consumer benefit."
