Officials to discuss ways to alleviate Dublin Airport delays

A series of meetings is reportedly due to take place today to discuss ways to alleviate delays currently being faced by the travelling public at Dublin Airport.

Passengers have been experiencing significant delays due to stricter controls introduced last week after EU inspectors smuggled a replica bomb and knives through security checks.

Reports this morning said the officials from the airport, the Gardaí and the Department of Transport were due to meet to discuss the matter today.

The Taoiseach, meanwhile, told the Dáil yesterday that 60 extra security staff were currently in training at the airport.
