Shop around for hire purchase, advises IFSRA
19/04/2005 - 12:11:52The Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority has advised people to shop around when planning to buy goods on hire purchase agreements.
IFSRA said today that a survey of the 11 main hire purchase providers found significant differences in the charges levied by the various firms.
It said a consumer could make savings of up to €1,100 when taking out a five-year hire purchase agreement for a car costing €19,000.
