Committee to review safety of goalposts
19/04/2005 - 10:43:25The National Standards Association has established a committee to review the safety of goalposts on playing fields throughout Ireland.
The move follows the deaths of two 10-year-old boys in separate accidents involving goalposts in September 2003 and August 2004.
The committee established to review the safety of goalposts includes representatives from the Department of Sport, the State Claims Agency, county councils and sporting bodies.
