The couple insist rumours began when they were celebrating the 'Alias' beauty's 33rd birthday with a lavish party.
The actress erected a marquee in the garden of her Los Angeles home, prompting speculation she would wed her 'Daredevil' co-star.
Photographers camped outside her home as friends and relatives arrived at the bash.
One guest added to the rumours when he joked to the photographers as he was leaving, saying, "that was the best wedding ever."
