Gregan vows to bounce back for Wallabies
18/04/2005 - 13:08:50Australia captain George Gregan is confident he will be fit for the Wallabies’ first international of the season against Samoa in Sydney on June 11, despite fracturing his left leg playing for the Brumbies last weekend.
Gregan has already been ruled out of the remaining four rounds of the Super 12 regular season after he collided with Waratahs scrum-half and Wallaby rival Chris Whitaker.
“The first 24 hours have been good. There has been not much swelling and not too much pain,” said Gregan.
“It’s obviously very disappointing to have suffered the injury at such a crucial stage of the season.
"But I’m still very hopeful I’ll be available to play if the team does qualify for the Super 12 finals.”
