Workers strike at quarries in west
18/04/2005 - 13:16:58Up to 300 workers employed at a group of quarries in Mayo, Sligo and Galway have gone on strike today as part of a campaign for higher pay.
The workers, who are not unionised, say they intend to continue their action until management at Harrington's Quarries meet their demands.
No one from the company was available for comment this lunchtime.
