Securicor launches new security measures
18/04/2005 - 17:24:21Security company Securicor is to beef up its cash-in-transit security systems with the roll-out of a new security system for the delivery of cash to ATM machines.
From Wednesday a system called “Fluiditi” (pronounced fluidity) will protect cash at all stages in the delivery cycle and totally degrades the cash if attacked.
It is being implemented jointly with AIB and will be extended to more ATMs over the coming weeks.
The system is also in accord with the kind of security initiatives which were agreed at the recent “summit” between the main security companies, banks and the Minister for Justice, Michael McDowell.
