Further delays expected due to new airport security checks

Airline passengers have been warned to expect further delays at Dublin Airport due to the introduction of more stringent security checks.

The improved security was introduced last week in response to an EU inspection that led to knives and a replica bomb being smuggled through the airport.

The move led to lengthy delays for much of last week, particularly during busy periods, and passengers have been advised to ensure they check in at least 90 minutes before their flight time.
