Ferrari will be better, says Button
10/04/2005 - 12:50:37Jenson Button believes Ferrari will come into their own when the Formula One circus returns to Europe later this month.
The world champions have struggled in the heat of Malaysia and Bahrain in temperatures which do not suit their Bridgestone tyres.
But the San Marino Grand Prix at Imola later this month is unlikely to see a repeat of those near-40-degree temperatures and Button expects that to suit Ferrari.
The BAR-Honda driver said: “They’ve never been good in hot temperatures, Bridgestones.
“Even though the tyres didn’t work in these temperatures last year they seemed to get round the problem because the Ferrari was so good.
“Now the Ferrari is an average car it has really shown. We’ll really see how quick they are in Imola.”
