AIB issues positive economic outlook for 2005 and 2006
06/04/2005 - 12:27:20AIB has predicted that Ireland will enjoy strong economic growth over the next two years.
In its latest quarterly outlook, the bank said it expected Gross Domestic Product to increase by 6% this year and 6.5% in 2006.
It also predicted that inflation would be around 2% this year, while the official unemployment rate would fall to 4% by 2006, one of the lowest rates in the developed world.
