McAleese and Ahern to attend remembrance Mass for Pope
05/04/2005 - 07:16:55President Mary McAleese and Taoiseach Bertie Ahern are due to attend a mass of remembrance at Dublin's Pro-Cathedral this evening for the late Pope John Paul II.
Other government ministers are also expected to be at the Mass, which will be concelebrated by Archbishop Diarmuid Martin and Papal Nuncio Giuseppe Lazzarotto.
Aras an Úachtaráin, meanwhile, has confirmed that Mrs McAleese will travel to Rome to attend the Pope's funeral mass on Friday.
