Tourism Ireland announces UK appointment
Tourism Ireland has announced the appointment of Simon Gregory as head of Great Britain, based in Tourism Ireland's London office.
Commenting on the appointment, Tourism Ireland chief executive, Paul O'Toole said: "I am delighted to welcome Simon Gregory into this key strategic role in the organization. He joins Tourism Ireland at a time when we are facing a number of challenges in Great Britain, our largest and most important market."
Simon Gregory said: "This is a fantastic role and an exciting opportunity for me. The island of Ireland brand is a strong one which is known and loved in Great Britain, and I am convinced it has even more to offer. I look forward to taking it from strength to strength with the great Tourism Ireland team already in place and with our industry partners."
Mr Gregory will take up his new post in mid-May.
