Newcastle agree compensation with Robson

Newcastle chairman Freddy Shepherd today confirmed an agreement has been reached over a pay-off to former manager Bobby Robson amounting to around £2m (€2.9m).

Shepherd was at St James’ Park early this morning as the club released its financial results for the half-year prior to January 31.

This morning Shepherd will meet midfielders Lee Bowyer and Kieron Dyer after their brawl on Saturday during the defeat to Aston Villa.
