Consumers' Association calls for day's mourning
04/04/2005 - 11:51:34The Consumers' Association has called on the Government to declare a national day of mourning for the Pope.
Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has already ruled out such a move, which would see all workers being given a public holiday to mark the death of John Paul II.
Consumers' Association spokesman Michael Kilcoyne said: "People should be given the opportunity to take part in church services and religious services and to mourn what was one of the greatest leaders that we've had."
