Glastonbury tickets sell out in record time
04/04/2005 - 11:13:30Tickets for the Glastonbury Festival sold out in record time under a new and apparently improved booking system.
The 112,000 tickets for the music extravaganza were snapped up in two and three quarter hours with fans booking their places through the internet and by phone.
Organisers had taken steps to avoid a repeat of the problems facing eager fans last year when the online ticketing website crashed and phone lines were jammed by callers trying to get their hands on the tickets.
