Body of missing man found yards from hospital
31/03/2005 - 19:22:25The body of a man who disappeared from a Northern hospital nearly three weeks ago was found today, yards from the hospital.
Members of the Police Service Mountain Rescue Team found the remains of Wilbert Scott, 51, in a wooded area between the rear of Lagan Valley Hospital in Lisburn, Co Antrim, and the River Lagan.
Police said they had confirmed the body was that of the missing Lisburn man. A post mortem exam is due to be carried out tomorrow.
Mr Scott was a patient at the hospital and was last seen when he walked out of the premises on March 12.
Numerous searches had been carried out in the area for him since then.
