30/03/2005 - 07:22:01
Cork hurling has been dealt a blow with the news that All Star defender Wayne Sherlock will play no part in the Rebels' Munster championship opener against Waterford on May 22.

Rebel manager John Allen said: "Unless something totally unpredictable happens, Wayne has no chance of being fit.

"He was given a 10-week recovery programme and we're ruling him out of our plans for the Waterford game."
