ISIA says security system getting worse
30/03/2005 - 18:48:18The Irish Security Industry Association (ISIA) said the security environment had worsened considerably in recent months, with hostage-taking and several armed attacks on security vans.
The ISIA was speaking in the wake of the theft of more than €2m from a cash-transit van in Dublin this morning.
“The ISIA Cash In Transit companies are fully committed to working with their partners in defeating this criminal threat,” said a spokesman.
He added that the companies were committed to introducing new security measures.
