Mumba: 'My dad lied about my pregnancy in court'
Pop beauty Samantha Mumba is furious her father falsely told a court she is pregnant to get off a drink-driving charge.
The singer has publicly denied her estranged dad Peter's claims she is expecting her first child with her ex-boyfriend, US rapper Sisqo.
And she's disgusted that he told magistrates in Barking, east London that he drove while disqualified, without insurance and with excess alcohol in his system because he suffered a brief mental breakdown after she fell pregnant with his grandchild.
Samantha, 22, says: "I know there have been rumours, but I can categorically say I am not pregnant. I haven't talked to my dad for over a year. I don't even have his telephone number but I am absolutely not pregnant."
Peter's solicitor told the court: "Mr Mumba recently found out that his daughter is pregnant, which has caused him some upset."
Peter is now serving a four-month prison sentence for the driving convictions.
