Socialist Party say airport sell-off will reduce wages
28/03/2005 - 11:30:26Socialist Party Councillor Clare Daly says the privatisation of Dublin Airport is an attempt to reduce wages and worsen working conditions.
This comes on the final day of the Socialist Party Conference in Navan.
Councillor Daly claims privatisation only contributes to the elimination of quality jobs.
She says these sell-offs are bad news.
"All evidence of it has delivered a butchering of public services; the eliminating of quality jobs and far worse - exploitation on shop floor level, that's the experience of every privatisation that has taken place," said Councillor Daly.
