Crowe thrilled with 'powerful' new single

27/03/2005 - 11:52:02
Antipodean screen star Russell Crowe has been boasting about the brilliance of his forthcoming single Raewyn.

The Gladiator star, 40, has described the song, which is to be released on the internet, as "fresh, graceful and relavatory (sic)", and claims it has stirred the emotions of men and women alike - including several celeb rities.

He hails his own composition as "the only song I've written that has made both men and women cry, think and call their parents - usually in that order".

And British rock icons have apparently been contacting the volatile actor with words of praise.

Crowe adds: "I have emails from Sting and Billy Bragg, two of my writing heroes, that give testament to the quiet power of the song."
