Giraffe introduced to public at Fota

Fota Wildlife Park in Cork has unveiled its latest arrival - a baby giraffe named Fiona, introduced to the public today.

Born on November 30, the giraffe was close to 6ft tall when she was born and is now nearing 7ft tall.

She brings the total number of giraffes there to 14, making the giraffe herd in the wildlife park one of the largest in Europe.
