ISEQ closes up
The ISEQ index closed up 26.62 points at 6130.34 today.
Banking shares were mixed. While Allied Irish Bank shares climbed 16c to €16.11, and Bank of Ireland up 15c to €12.37, shares in Anglo Irish Bank slipped 10c to €20.08.
Irish Life & Permanent shares remained unchanged at €14.15.
Shares in exploration company Ormonde slipped 1c to 16c today as the company revealed it will be seeking admission to the Alternative Investment Market in order to facilitate its intended growth from an exploration and development company into a gold producer.
The board of Ormonde Mining has announced the conditional placing of more than 30 million shares to raise more than €4.3m.
Building materials company CRH climbed 10c today to €20.35.
Pharmaceutical company Elan saw shares rise 19c to €5.68 today.
