NRA to consider new ring road for Dublin

The National Roads Authority is to look at whether Dublin needs a new road to go outside the M50.

Fred Barry of the NRA said the Authority will undertake a large traffic count and other studies and should be ready to report back in about nine months.

Proposals for the new route should be submitted to the Department of Transport by spring or summer of next year.
