Quinn ruled out of Irish squad for Israel
21/03/2005 - 14:33:27Sheffield United midfielder Alan Quinn has been forced out of the Republic of Ireland’s World Cup qualifier in Israel on Saturday.
The 25-year-old suffered an ankle injury after scoring in the Blades’ 2-1 win over Burnley on Saturday and has been withdrawn from Brian Kerr’s squad.
But Kerr has been boosted by the news of the remaining 22 members of his squad all getting through their weekend matches unscathed, and will meet up in Dublin tomorrow.
