Daryl Murphy proved too hot to handle for Town as he made the opener and scored the winner in a thrilling match at Flancare Park.

Murphy was upended by Town keeper Stephen O’Brien to allow Paul Crowley give Blues the lead from the penalty spot on 11 minutes.

Town levelled with a terrific strike from Shane Barrett 12 minutes later.

But Murphy got in behind the Town defence to drill a shot past O’Brien to restore Blues’ lead on 39 minutes for what proved the winner.
