Four questioned after firearms found
19/03/2005 - 08:36:57Gardaí were today questioning four men in Dublin and Offaly about serious crime offences.
Officers discovered firearms and a large quantity of ammunition in a car which was stopped in the Dublin area on St Patrick’s Day. Two men in the car were arrested under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
Gardaí arrested two other men yesterday in Edenderry in Offaly while carrying out follow-up searches.
The men can be held up for up to 72 hours.
