Davies gets a break
18/03/2005 - 09:21:51Spurs will recall rested midfielder Simon Davies for their Barclays Premiership clash with Manchester City at White Hart Lane tomorrow.
Davies was omitted from the side that lost 2-0 to Charlton in midweek because coach Martin Jol did not want to exhaust the Wales international – who had played nine consecutive games since recovering from a virus.
Jol will again make a late decision on Mido, who is still struggling with a groin strain, while Pedro Mendes (toe) is definitely out – but Sean Davis is in the squad after returning against Charlton following knee surgery.
Provisional squad: Robinson, Cerny, Kelly, Pamarot, Gardner, King, Naybet, Edman, Atouba, Davies, Davis, Ziegler, Brown, Carrick, Defoe, Keane, Kanoute, Mido.
