City duo sit out Spurs trip
18/03/2005 - 09:28:48Steve McManaman and Ben Thatcher will both miss Stuart Pearce’s first game in charge as Manchester City take on Tottenham at White Hart Lane.
McManaman has picked up a calf strain, while Thatcher is still out with the hamstring injury which forced him to miss City’s 1-0 home defeat to Bolton a fortnight ago.
Jon Macken and Nedum Onouha are back in the squad, although long-term casualties Shaun Wright-Phillips, Sun Jihai and Trevor Sinclair (all knee injuries) are still missing.
Provisional squad: James, Weaver, Mills, Onouha, Dunne, Distin, Sommeil, Jordan, Croft, Flood, Barton, Sibierski, Musampa, Fowler, Macken, B Wright-Phillips.
