Bank of Ireland shuts down fraudulent internet service

Bank of Ireland has shut down a website that was trying to fraudulently obtain details of its customers' accounts.

The bank said the website was posing as its internet banking service and e-mails had been sent to many customers today asking them to input their personal details.

The bank said customers should be aware that it never requests confidential customer information in this way.
