Oulart wins Pertemps Handicap
17/03/2005 - 17:43:51Oulart struck for Champion Hurdle-winning trainer Dessie Hughes with victory in the Pertemps Handicap Hurdle Final.
Paul Carberry had his mount well-placed on the second circuit of the three-mile contest before heading long-time leader Quick and Hirvine on the run to the final flight.
The 10-1 shot was not too hard-pressed to withstand the late challenge of Martin Pipe’s 66-1 outsider Mioche D’Estruval by two lengths.
Quick, also trained by Pipe, stuck on well for third, a further four lengths away, with Touch Closer fourth.
