Traffic restrictions will affect travel to Croke Park

Traffic restrictions in Dublin city centre mean football and hurling fans - travelling to Croke Park for this afternoon's club finals - should make sure they give themselves plenty of time to get there.

Those travelling by car on the N4 and N7 are being advised to avoid the city centre, much of which will be closed off, and get to the venue from the M50.

AA Roadwatch says motorists should use either the N2 exit to Finglas or the M1 exit into Drumcondra.

She also says those travelling by train to Heuston should give themselves extra time.
