Shannon Airport workers to be balloted on industrial action

More than 500 SIPTU members who work at Shannon Airport are to be balloted next week with a view to an all-out strike.

The move comes amid claims that the new Shannon Airport Authority is 'going it alone' and making changes without consultation or agreement.

Following a meeting of SIPTU Aviation Branch officials in Shannon yesterday, the workers are due to be notified by letter tomorrow that they will be balloted next week
