Jerome Thomas fired Charlton into an early lead during tonight’s Barclays Premiership clash with fellow European hopefuls Tottenham at The Valley.
The 21-year-old former Arsenal trainee drilled the ball in from 25 yards after cutting inside from the left after just four minutes.
Fredi Kanoute had the best of Spurs’ first-half chances, missing his kick from close range and then seeing Dean Kiely make a fine reaction block.
