King for five more years
16/03/2005 - 12:10:06Veteran TV chat show host Larry King has signed a £3.5m (€5m)-a-year deal that will keep him with CNN until he is 76.
“I’ve had a great relationship with CNN. It’s my family,” said King. “I’m looking forward to many more years with the network,” he said of the new five-year contract
Created in 1985, Larry King Live was the first international call-in talk show, and it remains CNN’s highest-rated prime time show.
King, 71, has interviewed every US president since Gerald Ford but is frequently criticised for giving guests an easy ride.
