Big three set for Titanic clash

15/03/2005 - 08:42:39
The mouthwatering clash between Azertyuiop, Moscow Flyer and Well Chief is definitely on after all three were declared for tomorrow’s Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham.

The trio have long dominated the market for the two-mile event and it promises to be a fascinating re-run of December’s Tingle Creek Chase, when Moscow Flyer came out on top.

Jessica Harrington’s 11-year-old beat Azertyuiop by a length and a half and has since gone on to win the Tied Cottage Chase at Punchestown.

The Paul Nicholls-trained Azertyuiop won last month’s Game Spirit Chase at Newbury, beating Martin Pipe’s Well Chief in the process.

Nicholls also runs Cenkos, who will be tackling the race for the fourth time, and Kadarann, while Pipe has a second string to his bow in Venn Ottery, who was fifth last year when in the care of Nicholls.

Mark Rimell’s progressive Oneway and the Dessie Hughes-trained Central House complete the eight declarations after just Armaturk and Rathgar Beau were taken out at the final 48-hour stage.
