Securicore defends procedures
15/03/2005 - 19:23:51Cash transportation firm Securicor has defended its procedures in the wake of yesterday's robbery of €2m and the associated abduction of a staff members family.
Detectives believe the incident was carried out by a north Dublin gang.
Securicor issued a statement through a public relations firm tonight amid concern over the growing trend in security van and ATM robberies.
The statement has said the firm is doing everything it can to provide support for the family and other members of staff who were involved in the incident.
The statement went on to stress its active association with gardaí in their investigations and its commitment to the safety of its staff and the public.
