Willis defends outspoken celebrities
Die Hard star Bruce Willis has defended his fellow celebrities' political views - even though they are the opposite of his own political stance.
Willis stands proud as one of Hollywood's few proud Republicans, but he refuses to criticise his liberal contemporaries because they have a right to speak their mind.
The 49-year-old says: "I think that actors are citizens as well, and that often gets forgotten in what people write about when actors speak up, when actors use their notoriety or their celebrity to speak out about an issue.
"I use my celebrity to shine a light on the foster care system. Everybody is entitled to their opinion in this country and I have mine, and while it certainly doesn't jibe with the liberal attitude that exists in Hollywood and mostly in California, I'm a patriot.
"Regardless of how good a job you think President Bush is doing, I am all for the war on terrorism. Everybody calls it a war on something, but I for one would like to live in a world where terrorism does not exist."
