ntl losses slashed 79.7%

ntl has slashed losses from £192.4m (€276.6m) in 2003 to £39m (€56m) in 2004, and improvement of 79.7%.

2004 revenue was up 5.7% to £2.1bn (3bn).

Simon Duffy, ntl CEO, said: “ntl underwent major organisational changes in 2004, with almost every part of the business being restructured. …Despite this upheaval, the company performed very well with underlying margins for the group as a whole, including broadcast, rising to 37% in Q4.

"For continuing operations alone, they rose to 36%. We considerably strengthened and improved the operational base of the company, reinforcing our ability to continue to grow profitably."
