Davidson hopeful for BAR future
Anthony Davidson believes a test session in Jerez may put BAR back on track after a disappointing start to the Formula One season.
BAR never looked like scoring points in Australia and Davidson was immediately drafted in to testing duties in Spain this week.
The team were hit by aerodynamic problems in Australia which made the car difficult to drive when following others and Davidson’s three-day test concentrated on rectifying the problem.
Davidson, 25, said: “The main focus for my car at this test has been an aerodynamics evaluation programme.
“I covered lots of mileage, just under our target, before the engine failed on Friday morning, so we have collected a lot of valuable data.
“I hope that the team back at the factory will be able to use this information in time for the race in Malaysia next week.”
