Commission calls for co-ordinated mental services

The Mental Health Commission has called for the introduction of co-ordinated services for people with mental illness.

The commission said people currently suffering with mental health problems could have their plights eased if a more co-ordinated service were available nationwide.

It has recommended the establishment of a national network of mental health service teams comprised of psychologists, occupational therapists and other specialists.
