Ulster spine dominates Irish 'A' side
An Ulster influence dominates Ireland’s international A representative side with eight of Mark McCall’s men in the Ireland A team to meet France A.
This is the first such international since March 2003 and takes place at Donnybrook tomorrow evening.
Matt McCullough, Kieran Campbell and Tommy Bowe are three men on the up. Paddy Wallace, the forgotten man of Irish rugby, has been selected in his natural position at number 10.
Props Ronan McCormack and Simon Best and the much-touted Roger Wilson will complete a strong northern spine to the side.
Centres Kieran Lewis and David Quinlan and openside Shane Jennings will be the only Leinster players on view. London Irish lock Bob Casey returns home to partner McCullough and Connacht’s Bernard Jackman will lead Michael Bradley’s selection from hooker.
