Man arrested after €500,000 cannabis seizure in Meath
09/03/2005 - 09:49:37Gardaí in Co Meath have arrested a man in his 40s in connection with a cannabis seizure in Ashbourne yesterday afternoon.
The man was arrested following a search of a van as part of a joint operation between the gardaí and customs officers.
Gardaí said cannabis resin and cannabis herb with a street value of €500,000 was found in the van.
The drugs are believed to have been transported from Holland in a container that had earlier arrived at Dublin Port.
