Over 300 patients on trolleys this afternoon

Figures from the Irish Nurses Organisation have said there are 319 people waiting for treatment on trolleys in hospitals around the country today.

The figures don't include numbers for Naas hospital.

Among the worst affected is Cork University Hospital's A and E department, which has now fully re-opened.

This morning, only people brought in by ambulance were being seen, due to overcrowding.
