McCartney family continues campaign for justice
08/03/2005 - 14:29:36Relatives of murdered Belfast man Robert McCartney were in Dublin this lunchtime as part of their campaign to bring his killers to justice.
Mr McCartney's five sisters and his fiancée were due to attend a function with Justice Minister Michael McDowell at Government buildings before meeting a number of female TDs and Senators.
Mr McCartney was beaten and stabbed to death after a row at a pub in Belfast on January 30, allegedly by senior IRA members.
The killing has led to a local backlash against Sinn Féin and the IRA, whom the McCartneys have accused of not doing enough to help bring those responsible to justice.
