Wexford cruise to victory against Limerick
Wexford 3-15 Limerick 1-11
Wexford are one of only three sides left in the Allianz NFL with a 100% after their 3-15 to 1-11 Round three thrashing of Limerick in Division 1B.
The Wexford Park clash was ignited by the scoring prowess of Matty Forde (1-06), John Hudson and Diarmuid Kinsella as the home trio hit 3-12 of their winning total.
Their defence was on song too, limiting the Shannonsiders to just 1-02 from play - with Conor Mullane's second half goal their sole highlight.
Kinsella fisted Wexford in front with a third minute goal, and the Slayneysiders led 1-07 to 0-06 at half-time, with Johnny Murphy's frees accounting for five of Limerick's scores.
Hudson's 43rd-minute goal - ending a 30-metre run with a brilliant snapshot finish - spurred Wexford onto a 2-09 to 0-06 scoreline.
Mullane's subsequent goal and points from John Quane and substitute Muiris Gavin (0-04 (3f) kept Limerick competitive, but All-star Forde ended the contest with an individual goal five minutes from time, dummying half the Limerick rearguard to finish to the net.
