Hoteliers address tourism issues at annual conference

Hotel owners are discussing how the industry can become more innovative as it undergoes its biggest change in history.

They are gathering in Cork for their annual conference, against a backdrop of increased competition and a fast-changing tourism market.

It comes after CSO figures show that employment in the hotel, pub and restaurant industry is falling.

Chief executive of the Irish Hotels Federation, John Power, said that they will have to adapt to the changes in tourism and attempt to give customers good reasons to visit.
