Syria begins withdrawing troops from Lebanon
05/03/2005 - 17:13:29Syria says it has started withdrawing its troops from the Lebanon.
In a televised address the country's parliament, the country's President Bashir al-Asad said Syria will not stay if Lebanon did not want it to.
It follows a week of pressure from US President George Bush and French President Jacques Chirac for Syria to withdraw completely.
